PARENT PARTICIPATION

A child always benefits when there is close communication between home and school. Forest Hill Christian Church Pre-School provides parents the wonderful opportunity to participate in the classroom as a school aide. This program not only gives parents the unique experience of being involved in the educational life of their young children, but results in lower tuition as well.

Children attend school two to five times weekly in classes of 12-15 children. Depending on your child’s  assigned school schedule, as a participating parent you will be expected to be a school aide two to five half or full days per month. Your responsibility will be to lend support as needed by the teacher to guide the children to specific goals. Each classroom is organized with centers for creative art, free play, cognitive learning, science, math, music and small muscle development. Although each teacher may have specific tasks for school aides, all participating parents are required to be playground and classroom supervisors.

Participating parents must be current with all state requirements for parent aides.
